{busy} butterfly

Hello again! ;)

I'm back to share the second card I made using this sketch {if you're interested, you can see the first card here}.  This one has a lot more going on with it...perhaps even a bit too overloaded with elements, but I had fun and went with it anyway.  {It's a good thing I don't have to mail this one! lol}

You can probably see the butterfly's wings have two layers {vellum beneath the patterned paper}, but what you probably can't see is all the shimmery glitter covering both {THREE applications' worth!...the principle of 'more is better' didn't seem to apply here, so my advice is to do one coat and call it good --no risk of over-saturating your paper and you get to save your lovely glitter for more projects}.  So even though my photography skills haven't improved, you can kinda see the beautiful shimmer here and there if you look really hard in this close-up:

Well, that's it for me today.  Hope you're enjoying your Sunday!  I'm off to make some bread dough and then start on another birthday card.  ;)

Thanks for the visit, and I hope you'll stop by again soon. Until then, many blessings to you!

Gorgeous! You sure haven't lost your "touch" of creating beautiful cards, Christi! This one is so pretty, all the way down to the glittery vellum. I'm sure I couldn't pull off the different patterns in the paper nearly so well, if at all. And of course, you got me with the butterfly! Very well done, my friend! Keep up the great work. :)
