{our} refuge and strength

Happy Thursday to ya!

Can you stand seeing yet another card made from these now-familiar Stella Rose papers?  ;P  I'm about ready to move on, but I've just been enjoying them so much...the colors, the patterns --yum!

I think I've been in an aqua mode lately.  It's such a pretty color --and perfect for spring too, don't you think?

Anyway, here's my {last} card using Stella Rose Hazel paper...well, for a while ;):

I found the flower among my stash and thought it would go well with the pink splatters on it...well, it did once I sponged the petal edges with some pink ink and added a pearl center. ;)   My youngest daughter thought it resembled the flowers on the designer paper.  The zig-zag stitching running vertically on the pink panel got lost behind the pearl swirl, but the card just seemed a bit out of balance without the swirl, so hidden it will remain.

Oh, and the layout is based on this week's sketch from RetroSketches.  It's a relatively new sketch challenge blog with fun, simple sketches and a talented design team.  If you haven't heard of them before and if you love sketches, you should check 'em out.

I hope you're having a wonderful week!

Thanks so much for the visit, and I hope you'll stop by again soon.  Until then, many blessings to you!
