congrats! {girlfriend}

Happy Friday to ya!!

One of my dearest friends recently went back to school to get her nursing degree and then subsequently passed the state board exam, so this card is for her --and this sweet little girl even reminds me of her {and all the black thread reminds me of sutures -lol}:

I used this week's sketch from Card Patterns as the design --haven't played along with them in really loonnngggg time-- and this was also my first time to use a digi image {I know, Where have I been?!?!}.  I can't believe I waited this long to try my hand at these, as I've got quite a few digis patiently waiting for me --the big bummer with that is last night my laptop decided not to recognize either of our printers...not sure how long it will take to fix that little snafu. ;-/  Hopefully not long, as I use our printers almost on a daily basis.  Ugh.

And here's the inside of her card:

Oh, and please just ignore that teeny red fleck next to the stethoscope --I have NO idea how that got there, but I'm pretty sure it had to have come from the red glitter pen I used to color in the heart.  Doh!  Good thing she's not a stamper...maybe she won't notice.  On second thought,  maybe it would be good if she did notice...I wouldn't want a poor-sighted nurse working on me; would you? lol

And I see now that I forgot to color in the stethoscope's ear pieces, so that will be taken care of before it gets sent out...but NOT with a glitter pen.  ;)

Well, because it's Friday, that means it's "pancake day" over here and the hubster will be home soon to join I'd best get into the kitchen and get started before I have a mutiny on my hands. ;P

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks so much for the visit, and I hope you'll stop by again soon. Until then, many blessings to you!
