So, for all of you whose time zone observes Daylight Savings Time, did you remember to set your clocks ahead before you went to bed last night?  I think a lot of people either chose to "forget" about it, decided to stay in bed and make up that lost hour, or perhaps it's because spring break has begun here, but church was literally deserted this morning.  The sermon was good, but I caught myself yawning quite a few times.  Ugh.  It's a standing joke in our family that it's my {and my oldest daughter's} least favorite night of the year.  Life sure can be rough when you're forced to lose an hour's sleep, can't it?  ;P

It's our youngest son's birthday in about a week, so I guess I've got his {yet-to-be-made} card on the brain.  Since I have to do all my crafty things at our kitchen table {read no privacy}, I doubt I'll have an opportunity to make his card until the night before his birthday --yikes!-- so I thought I'd pop in real quick and share the one I made for him last year:

The numbers look a little pink here in the photo, but they're actually red, like the paper...and neither is as subdued as they look in the picture {again, no doubt just my mad photography skillz}.  In real life, they pretty closely match the red buttons.  Really.

The inside is done up as well but will have to remain a mystery, since we'd already given it to him when this picture was taken...meaning it was adorned with love-covered words that I'm sure said {teenage} son would not appreciate being posted. ;)

I hope you had a wonderful weekend {despite losing an hour's sleep} and that you were able to sneak in a little time to do some crafting.  Have a nice week!

Thanks so much for the visit, and I hope you'll stop by again soon.  Until then, many blessings to you!

My reaction to Daylight Savings Time was postponed to last night, when I couldn't all asleep. Darn. Ah well, this too shall pass.

Fantastic card, Christi. I'm happy to know the numbers weren't really pink. LOL I'm sure your son really liked it!

Hey mama...I've been trying to get back my hour all day....I took the day off work to write papers that are due tomorrow and I am having the HARDEST time staying awake! :( I like the card a lot, but I still REFUSE to believe my little Noah is going to be 14! (His carrot cake is in the oven to get those cake pops started & in the mail) :) xoxo
