passion {renewed}

Yep, it's really been over an entire year since my last post.  :-/  Not really all that surprising for me, since my posting in 2010 has typically been somewhat spotty.  Daily life tends to dictate my priorities, so it's always been a challenge for me to find enough *spare* time to create cards and do other crafty things --which I LoVe to do -- but after not making more than a small handful of cards last year {pitiful, I know}, I've decided that "all work and no play" definitely makes me a dull I'm going to do my best to remedy that this year.  ;D  And everyone enjoys receiving a handmade card, right?  I figure it's the best way for me to (1) have fun, (2) be productive, (3) make others smile, and (4) be frugal {a necessity for me for the foreseeable future}.

I've already made a few cards this year {which I'll probably be posting soon}, and it's been so much fun to get back into it!  A little slow going, but still fun.  I've really missed it.  Plus, I've got sooooo many supplies that need some lovin' {you'll see what I mean as time goes on -lol}.'s my attempt to play along with the sketch challenge over at Mojo Monday this week { though my "mojo" is apparently toying with the idea of remaining on hiatus a bit longer...and it's been sooooo long since I've posted that I've completely forgotten how to work with my watermark, so please overlook that too --help!}:
The ribbon looks like it doesn't match, and the embossing on the sentiment piece looks off too, but I think it's just my photography *skillz* {a-hem...they're still rather lacking} --it really does coordinate in real life. ;P

I had a lot of fun with my sewing machine on this one --not sure you can tell from the pic...or if my son will even notice when he's got the card in his hands...but I added some extra stitching around the {partial} stars in the smaller background focal panel.  It didn't make a huge difference in the scheme of things, but it was fun and I thought it added some interest on an otherwise plain panel.  {Like it really matters on a guy card. lol}

Anyway, it feels good to be back!  ;)

Well, that's it from me family's waiting on me so we can all watch a movie together.  Enjoy what's left of your evening and I hope you have a wonderful week.

Thanks so much for the visit, and I hope you'll stop by again soon --I plan to be making cards and posting them a LOT more often.  Until next time, many blessings to you {if there are actually any of *you* still with me -lol}!

I'm still here! I'm still here! I can't tell you what a grin I got on my face in seeing that you posted and what a gorgeous card it is, too. Wow!

Happy to see you again and I do hope to see you a little more frequently, albeit for selfish reasons!

Welcome back and can't wait to see what other beauties you've created.
