Special Birthday

H-e-l-l-l-l-o out there!!!  {And if you're reading this, I realize it's a little belated...but better late than not at all is my motto...so I'm wishing you a very happy 2011 and hope it's off to a great start!}

Soooo...how 'bout a card?  Here's the one I made for my mom's birthday coming up in a few days (I asked her not to peek -lol):

{I still haven't learned how to take good pics with my new camera, so until that happens, I hope you can bear with me.}

I love the soft colors of these older Porcelain papers, and this week's MojoMonday sketch was a really fun one to work with.  Though you can't see from my poor photography skills, I clear embossed the beautiful Verve sentiment, as well as the frame around it --and it seemed to me that the frame image {from Waltzingmouse Stamps} was made to perfectly coordinate with the sweet polka dot roses on the paper. ;)  With the glitter I added to the flower petals, the shine of the pearls and the embossed images, this card really shimmers {in real life}.   Hope she'll like it.

As always, thanks so much for the visit, and I hope you'll stop by again soon.  Until then, many blessings to you!

Supplies that were given some love:

Cardstock:  Cryogen White (Arjo-Wiggins), Baby Pink, Olive (CTMH)

Patterned Paper:  Porcelain 6x6 collection (BasicGrey)

Stamps:  Vintage Circles Small (Waltzingmouse Stamps), Birthday Surprise (Verve)

Ink:  Baby Pink (CTMH), Versafine Vintage Sepia (Tsukineko)

Other:  Fancy Tags, Classic Circles Small, Lacey Circles, Labels One (Spellbinders), Cuttlebug (Provo Craft), Versamark (Tsukineko), clear embossing powder, heat tool, sponge (CTMH), crochet trim (Wright's), flowers (Prima), half pearls (BasicGrey and Joy! Oh Christi! First of all, I'm thrilled to see you posting. I know how very busy you are and so. I always get excited when you can take some time to create. And when you do, it's something that knocks my socks off like this card. Woweee, it's just gorgeous! Love the papers (I never knew that Porcelain paper could look so good). Your sewing is perfection. Every detail is fabulous! Your mom is one lucky lady, that's for sure.

I hope in 2011 that you can find more time for yourself to create other beauties such as this! Happy New Year, my friend!!
