Special Birthday

H-e-l-l-l-l-o out there!!!  {And if you're reading this, I realize it's a little belated...but better late than not at all is my I'm wishing you a very happy 2011 and hope it's off to a great start!} 'bout a card?  Here's the one I made for my mom's birthday coming up in a few days (I asked her not to peek -lol):

{I still haven't learned how to take good pics with my new camera, so until that happens, I hope you can bear with me.}

I love the soft colors of these older Porcelain papers, and this week's MojoMonday sketch was a really fun one to work with.  Though you can't see from my poor photography skills, I clear embossed the beautiful Verve sentiment, as well as the frame around it --and it seemed to me that the frame image {from Waltzingmouse Stamps} was made to perfectly coordinate with the sweet polka dot roses on the paper. ;)  With the glitter I added to the flower petals, the shine of the pearls and the embossed images, this card really shimmers {in real life}.   Hope she'll like it.

As always, thanks so much for the visit, and I hope you'll stop by again soon.  Until then, many blessings to you!
