you make me {hoppy}

I hope you're all looking forward to a fun weekend with nice weather!  Got any special plans for Valentine's Day?  Me neither. lol

I've been working on my Valentine's Day cards though...and I'm finally done {so now I can get back to working on my thank yous AND a birthday card for a very special son of mine next Saturday}!  ;)   I was a regular card-makin' fool this week...drawing inspiration from several different sketches.

Unfortunately a few of my cards didn't translate so wonderfully from brain to paper so you probably won't be seeing those {yep, I chickened out, Sarah -lol}, but I thought this one was kinda cute...unless you're inspecting the turquoise stitching {it was waaaay past my bedtime, the lighting wasn't good, and, well, I'm not at all sure how it happened but it just got a little outta control --not tryin' to make excuses really, I'm just sayin'}.  I even tried to camoflauge the worst of it by putting my watermark over it, but it's still a mess.  Oh, well.  It's for my 11-YO son, it was too late to trash it and start over, so I went with it anyway.  I doubt he'll care.  ;)

I used this week's sketch from Sketches! {by tamara}.  You can find it here

To make up for my wayward stitching, I added some Liquid Glass to the li'l guy to make him look slimy and cute (I mean, wouldn't a frog look as if it were sick if they weren't all wet looking?...kinda like a dog's nose?).

Please try to ignore the close-up on the stitching.  {Okay, you can stop laughing now.}  I'll be back tomorrow with a more feminine card.

Thanks so much for the visit, and I hope you'll stop by again soon. Until then, many blessings to you!

Night all.  ;)

I think your stitching looks great! I love how you stitched the "hop" lines! And how DO you fill in with Liquid Glass so well? Your little guy is sure to love this!

Thanks for your encouraging words about my treat project yesterday. I can safely say, fallen apart or not, it tastes good with chocolate. Maybe TOO good. LOL

OH my that frog is delightful!!! Great card ...and your son will LOVE it.
Ha for chickening out.
But my fav part of this post is you admitting that you put your watermark over the stitching LOL...
Ya know if you hadn't mentioned how bad the stitching was (it isn't) no one would have even been looking at it :0)

Very cute card! I have this stamp set on my desk right now because I've been playing with it all week. I LOVE what you've done with the froggie. I think your stitches look great, they're all boing-y like a frog! And the addition of the Liquid Glass is perfect! So so cute!

No special plans this year for Valentine's Day. We were going to Las Vegas, but the car died, so we'll be close to home, probably go to my favorite spot P.F. Changs. I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow.

Hugs,
Barb

Love everything about it -- and I know Noah will! I especially like the way you made 'motion' with the stitching -- clever girl!
