do you {really} wanna know? i do

I must live in a cave. It came out last month and I hadn't heard about this movie, Food Inc., until now...and now I can't wait to see it. Chipotle Mexican Grill is even endorsing it (and our entire family LOVES Chipotle!). And after watching the trailer and another 'snippet' as Gavan Murphy (of The Healthy Irishman fame) called it in his recent post, I think most people would support the film and its ideology if they saw it too. If you click on any of the links I've provided here, you can watch the film's trailer and the 'snippet' and learn more about this. It's downright scary, but very full of truth...even though it's an ugly truth. (Yeah, I went a little overboard on the links, but I didn't want to take the chance that you'd miss it. lol)

Anywhoo...I just thought I'd pass this info along. Wow. My second PSA ever, and both within a week. Don't worry, I seriously doubt it'll become a habit. ;) Not that you don't want to be well-informed're just hoping to get your news flashes elsewhere. I know.

Oh, and while I'm blabbin' on, I think it might be a good time to mention that I finally took the plunge into Facebook today. lol I've been trying to avoid it because I need another time zapper like I need a hole in the head, but I've had several "friend" requests over the last couple months so finally decided to check it out (and be allowed access to see some great pics). OMW, it's a whole new world out there...with LOTS of familiar faces (who knew?!)! Imagine my surprise when I found my daughter on there! lol Not sure what took me so long (to join the 21st century, as I was welcomed by one of my stamping friends). Oh, I remember now...I live in a cave. Good thing the sun is beginning to shine in here a little. ;)

I hope to be back tomorrow to share a card I made yesterday...which reminds me (while we're blabbin'), I didn't mean to make it sound like I was critically injured on our camping trip. I'm just about all healed up now, but I thank you for your sweet comments of concern.

Thanks so much for the visit, and I hope you'll stop by again soon. Until then, many blessings to you!

Watched the trailer. Looks interesting. And of course we all want to know that what we buy in the grocery store is actually good for us! That said I always like to keep in mind that EVERYONE has an agenda and can twist 'facts' and even video to suit their purpose. I have a cousin who is a potato and dairy farmer. I know all the precautions and care that he gives his product. So I'm anxious to see what the film has to say. I went and watched Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" when it was in the theatres. He presented some interesting ideas, too, but you always gotta keep in mind that EVERYONE has an agenda! We are now seeing that thousands of renown scientists who disagreed with Gore's assessments were completely ignored, worse yet, harassed and ostracized for their findings.
It can be hard to know the truth... That's why I like watching it all! (Guess that may be my agenda! lol) Thanks for the heads-up, Christi.
