thanks {mojo}

Happy Sunday to ya! ;) I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend.

I've got a busy day today/week ahead (we're going camping later this week for an extended weekend), so I'm gonna make this post short and sweet. Since I usually jabber on way too much, I know you can appreciate a quick one. ;)

Here's a card I made for my sweetheart of a daughter, Monica. I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch, what I call the 'mini Giggle Grove' trees from one of my very favorite Unity KOMs (Friendship. Love. Miracles.), a sentiment from Verve's Circular Sayings set, and some more paper from my Urban Rhapsody collection stack (that I love, LoVe, LOVE!...hope you're not getting too tired of looking at it, cuz I don't think I'm through with it yet -lol).

This was a really fun one that went together pretty quickly. The shocker here (for me anyway) is that I'm actually posting a card I made with a CURRENT sketch! lol

The d'vine Swirl embossing folder reminded me of the wind we've been having along with some of our recent thunderstorms, so I thought that design would be appropriate for the upper panel. lol

I did notice something rather strange with that particular folder of mine this time and wondered if anyone else has this "issue": There are four small rectangles lightly etched into the folder (one in each corner of the folder...on BOTH sides, so a total of eight), right along with the design itself, that transfer to the embossed piece of CS. They didn't show up as noticeable on the flip side (debossed side) of the CS, so I went ahead and used that. Plus with the sanding, it made it even less noticeable. I just thought it was really weird and it's not on any of my other folders (that I've noticed). Not sure why I haven't noticed it on this one before, but I'm definitely not likin' it...but what to do?? And I don't think I paid extra for it. lol So what I want to know is if it's just mine, or if it's a universal defect with that folder.... If you have one of these d'vine Swirl folders, would you mind checking yours and leaving me a comment with what you find? Muchas gracias!

Well, I think that's about it. So much for short and sweet --I should've known it wasn't possible. ;)

I've been busy making up some pre-scheduled posts to share with you until we return from our trip and I have time to get back on the computer -- I'm sure lovin' this summer schedule! ;D But in case my posts aren't delivered (again...SO frustrating) by FeedBlitz, you may want to check back from time to time. I hope you'll like what you see. ;) Oh, and just so you can't say I didn't warn ya...I got a leetle long winded --surprise, surprise. lol

Thanks so much for the visit, enjoy your day...and your week!, and I hope you'll stop by again soon. Until then, many blessings to you!

Guess I'm the first to check your blog posting today, my DD. Darling card -- love it all! I checked my d'vine Swirl folder and mine doesn't have any irregularities. It must have been a machine flaw when yours was cut -- I'd be willing to bet you could change it out at your local scrap store.

I haven't noticed that with my folder but now I'm going to have to check! Your card is amazing!! I am in love!

BEAUTIFUL card Christi!! I checked my folder and mine does have the rectangles, but they don't transfer to my paper. Then again, I don't use the cuttlebug machine, I use my sizzix with the converter, I wonder if that makes a difference? Have a wonderful time on your trip, we will miss you! :)

I also LOVE the trees..
I went and checked my folder all over and didn't see anything that looked rectangular...hmmmm weird.
Have a wonderful time camping!

Love this card, Christi!! Those trees are fabulous!

As for the embossing folders.. Had to go and check mine. Well every single one of mine has those rectangles!! I had never noticed them before and don't think that they have ever transferred to the card stock. I use a Cuttlebug, too. Kinda weird.

(Oh and I just have to say I laughed so hard at your comment on my CLASSroom "butterfly" post!!! I looked at the butterfly after I read that and then started laughing even harder. I'll never see that dear thing the same again! ROFL)

This is GORGEOUS! I love the paper you pretty on the trees. The distressed D'Vine Swirls coordinates well with the distressed look of the paper.

I do not of lines on my D'Vine Swirls...that is puzzling. I can't see them on your card, which is perfect :)

Gorgeous card, Christi! I don't think you are capable of making a card that isn't beautiful, which is a very good thing. I love those papers, the double ribbon, the trees, the debossed cardstock and the sewing (you are so much better at using your sewing machine than I am-hee,hee).

I checked my folder and I don't see any rectangles or irregularities. Must have gotten one from a goofy batch.

I hope you all have a wonderful time camping!

And finally, I rather like your chatty posts... *Ü*
