{cupcakes} for you

Since I love to bake and I love to eat sweets, I would've like to have made and sent the real deal, but in this heat and relative humidity, I doubt they've had made the trek...plus I'd have been too tempted to eat half of them myself (NOT good). So, I decided it would be much better to send them in cardstock form instead. ;) Plus it didn't heat up the kitchen. lol Now I'm just hoping they'll arrive in time for the party.I used two different pieces of luscious double-sided Penny Lane patterned paper (I'm definitely in love with that soft pink!), stamping the Unity cupcake row (as I call it) image on three of the four patterns so I could paper piece the cupcakes. The "frosting" pieces are all popped up with dimensionals. I colored in the cherry using a couple markers and then used some glitter pen on it and the other cuppies and selected areas on the background floral panel to bling it up a little. I was running a little short on time so I opted not to get out the sewing machine, and in hindsight I really wish I had. *sigh*

Oh, and I thought you might like a quick giggle.... Here's what I found seated on my "photography studio" (aka bookcase shelf) a couple weeks ago. Courtesy of Chloe. The day before I spotted this mock-musical trio (who apparently didn't realize that a Lego guitar might be more characteristic than their chosen upside-down clay bowl drum and straw drumsticks...but if they're not the traveling sort, I guess it must work for 'em -lol), she'd been walking around the house singing "la cucka la barracka, la cucka la barracka." Not sure how to spell it or where she came up with that, but it was cute...for about the first 100 times -lol. Then, not so much. Especially after we told her how the song really went. But, yeah. She's a nut. Always giving us such a huge smile, and frequently something to giggle about.

Thanks so much for the visit, and I hope you'll stop by again soon. Until then, many blessings to you!
