Never Show it!

Guess that could apply to a lot of things, huh! lol Well, in this case, it has to do with age. ;P I just love this sassy li'l stamp by American Art Stamp! And the older I get, the more I can appreciate it. (Wonder why that is? lol) I made this for one of my very favorite friends, and she most definitely does NOT show her age. ;) There's nothing fancy here (I was in a hurry, as usual), but I had a lot of fun coloring this image with my Prismacolor pencils and adding some sparkle with Stickles (which probably doesn't show up too well here, but it's there).

And here's the inside:
And here's a pic of my four-legged Siberian Husky sweetheart doing what she loves...frolicking in the snow...and my guess is she'll never show her age (too bad we can't all be that fortunate! lol). Well, it's one of the things she loves to do -- her very favorite is being right there with us, regardless of where we are (and this time of year it's usually indoors near a heat source). It's hard to imagine that shortly after this pic was taken she was back whining at the door to come in, cuddle up, and get warm. lol Seems that her past residential history has confused her innate Eight Below nature...born in snowy Colorado, moved to sunny, southern California at ten weeks of age (where she grew into what we affectionately now call our "California Husky," because, we've learned there is definitely a difference in what Huskies were bred to do and what she's become...but that's a good thing since we don't live in sub-zero temps), then two years later, moved back to the cold and snowy weather. Poor thing. But for all her crazy confusion, she brings us immense joy and lotsa giggles (she even 'prays' before she eats EVERY meal -- she's a riot to watch! lol), and has proven to be very unlike most other Huskies in that she's very loyal and loves to be at our side. She's also a wonderful traveler (we're talking 16-hr trips without so much as a whimper, though with regular breaks for the necessities of life) and jogging/biking partner for my hubby (she LOVES to run and has been clocked at 25 mph for about a quarter mile!...though she didn't take too well to being an urban sled dog -lol). I didn't mean to go on and on about her, but she's just the sweetest thing and we love her to death, and when I saw this recent pic I just had to share it with you. ;) Thanks so much for the visit, and I hope you'll stop by again soon. Until then, many blessings to you!

Love the card, Christi, not only for the sentiment, but also for all the great details you add. The inside looks as good as the outside (something I always "intend" to do with my cards and somehow never gets done.

Loved your stories about your pooch. She definitely looks to be in her element! Thanks for sharing!

Hugs!

What an adorable card! Love it! And love the darling pic of Dharria -- it would appear you got some snow in the last week ;-)

Such a cute card, Christi! I like your color combo and that sentiment is hilarious alongside the image. Great inside treatment, too. I've been trying to do more of that lately, too.

What a beautiful doggie you've got there...right at home in all that snow.

Love the card Christi, but being a dog person, I have to say she's a beauty!!! And she sounds wonderful! Our black lab, Jack loves the snow too. His favorite is catching snowballs in his mouth. But get this...he won't go out in the rain. He's a silly boy, but we still lovingly call him "the best dog in the world." ;) Enjoy your weekend friend!

Cute card! I love the bright colors, your friend is going to love it! Your sweet furry companion is just adorable! I can understand "going on" about her, it is good to hear that I am not the only one out there who thinks of her pets as one of her children! They are such a joy!
It was so good to see you post, I hope you are doing well. Blessings and Hugs!
