Is it just me, or did this week just seem to fly by?! And, it's not only this week, but the entire month of January is over as well!
Just a little bit about my weekend so far.... My hubby and I watched "Big Fish" last night -- it's a few years old now, but we really enjoyed it. A very heartwarming tail, er, I mean tale (that was bad, I know -- sorry). Then this morning I went to get my hair done, which is always nice (assuming you can trust your hairstylist to be nice to your hair -lol). And this evening when I was trimming Chloe's bangs (I used to work as a hairstylist before I started having kids WAY back when -seems like a lifetime, or two, ago -lol), she asked me if I'd cut the rest of her hair too...she's now minus 6 inches of her hair! I was really surprised she wanted so much taken off, but she looks sooo cute I'm glad she did it. ;)
Anyway, I made my first Valentine's Day card this evening (took a break from thank-you cards), so I thought I'd share it with you. With a few exceptions, I used all Close To My Heart products to make this one. This one came together fairly fast for me (I know, oxymoron -lol), so I enjoyed that. ;) Part of the reason is because it's a no-frills kinda card...pretty basic because it's likely going to be sent to my oldest son (who, btw, is going to be turning 23 in a few short weeks! WHOA!...how did I get to be that old?!? lol). So here it is:
The piercing looks a little off on the left side of the small white horizontal panel with the flourish, but it's just the whacky angle of my photo. It was taken at night with poor lighting and I was in a hurry (so we're gonna overlook the fact that my photography skills are lacking, okay?), and you'll just have to trust me that the piercing is all there. ;)
Except for the sketch, which I absolutely love and plan to be using again (I used one of the past bonus sketches by Heidi Van Laar over at 2 Sketches 4 You--I wasn't able to track it down to direct you to the exact post, sorry), I don't think there's anything that needs explaining so I'll spare you the details...but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Here's the sketch: Tomorrow's Super Bowl Sunday, and since I'm not really a big football fan I hope to get some stamping time in during the game. What will you be doing tomorrow?
As always, thanks so much for taking the time to visit, and I hope you'll stop by again soon. Until then, many blessings to you!
