Leaving Love and Sharing Kindness

Happy Saturday! ;D I hope you're having a nice weekend. I'm in the middle of trying to make a few cards before my sweet hubby serves up a special dinner for us tonight...complete with a bottle of red wine. ;) But before my day gets away from me, I thought I'd take a break to call something to your attention...and also share a little Kindess (you'll see what I mean).

Not that I wouldn't like to see Christi win the goodies up for grabs, but I noticed that she's the ONLY one who has commented that she had visited another blog and left some love for a new-to-you blogger. Maybe those of you who commented and didn't play along for my blogiversary bon-bons (silly name, I know, but it had the illiteration thing going for it -lol!) are not interested in the freebies --and that's okay-- but just in case you didn't realize you hadn't followed the rules in order to be in the drawing to win I thought I'd mention it one last time to be fair. ;) **To be included in the drawing, please remember to leave your comment on THIS post.**

Well, I thought I'd show you what you'll be receiving if you win (hope you like them). It may not look like much, but if you had to go buy these items, you'd be spending about $100.

There are three D-size stamp sets from Close To My Heart: Eastertime, Treasure Life, and Serendipity; "You Mean the World to me" sentiment from Stamping Bella; Circle Words from Unity; three stamps from Rubber Romance: bon jour, a purse, and a really cute ATC-sized Bunnie; and Cuttlebug Stitched Squares embossing folders. ;)

Here are some more detailed pics so you can actually see what's there:

Anyway, onto the sharing.... This year I'm attempting to participate in a couple on-going challenges: one is "His Holy Name" and the other is a "Scripture Challenge," both of which are led by Patter Cross. I'm not quite caught up (isn't that something...having to mention the words "caught up" when the first month isn't even over yet -- I hope that's not an indication of where this is going! ugh). I've really been enjoying the research process of these topical studies, and the creative process has been fun (and somewhat challenging) too. I decided to go with the ATC cards for the Scripture Challenge, as I loved Patter's idea of having all 52 cards out on the carousel to enjoy and refer to for encouragement anytime I want to. ;) The ATC size is completely new to me and it's proving to be quite a challenge to come up with such miniature projects, especially since I'm probably going to be handwriting all the scripture references on the cards (it doesn't offer much room for those of us who tend to write kinda big).

The first week's challenge was the word Faith. I've done the ATC for this one, but decided to share that one next week and instead show you the card for Week 2, Kindness. Here's the front: And here's the back side:
I haven't done any artwork for His Holy Name challenge as yet, but maybe soon (...I hope)!

This post is too long for me to give you the run-down on what's what on the ATC, but if you have any questions, as always, please feel free to email me.

Well, good luck to any of you who actually are interested in winning my bloggin' bon-bons! Thanks so much for the visit, and I hope you'll stop by again soon. Until then, many blessings to you!

Economy Boosters (just doin' my part -lol!):

Cardstock: Cryogen White (Arjo Wiggins), Barn Red, Chocolate (CTMH); Patterned Paper: Elegance Elizabeth (KaiserCraft); Stamps: journaling box from September Kit of the Month "Friendship, Love, Miracles," Journal Dots from "Only Me" (Unity Stamp Company); Ink: Timber Brown Staz-On (Tsukineko); Other: swirl flourish punch (EK Success), large and small tag punches, large and small oval punches, scallop border punch (SU!), flowers (Prima), brads (Making Memories), button (craft supply), embroidery floss (DMC), foam mounting tape, glue dots, pop dots

Your Kindness ATC is gorgeous, Christi! Thanks for the "second chance at the bonbons. ;) I guess I didn't read your first post thoroughly enough. I'll have to see if I can remember where I left comments.

Omigosh! This is beautiful! You did an awesome job of putting so much meaning into so small a space, and you did it so beautifully -- everything about it! You're inspiring me to get started on my own. I've checked out several of the blogs, but am not putting my name in contention for the goodies since I'm family -- what a great bunch of bloggin' bon-bons! Love ya, Mom
