Wow! Time sure flies when you're having fun...and putting 3200 miles on your car! lol We got to visit with almost every family member we have (including my brother and his family who flew out from PA), and we even managed to squeeze in some time with several of our friends -- and to think that the reason behind all this traveling and visiting with loved ones was because of a wedding that (thankfully) didn't take place. We took the scenic route on our way back home and stopped at the Grand Canyon, Four Corners, Mesa Verde, and even enjoyed an evening at the Bar-D Chuckwagon in Durango. Our youngest two had never been to any of those places before, so it was especially fun to see them again through their eyes. Once I download all of my pics, if any came out decently, I'll probably bore you with a few. ;)
After being gone for nearly three weeks, and not having the time or opportunity to be online like I thought I might, I really feel out of the loop in the blogging world. If any of you are still visiting my blog, would anyone care to fill me in on some of the recent highlights? ;) I didn't even have time to share the cards I planned to post (sorry), so I guess I can do that this week...and maybe that's a good thing since I'm still unpacking from our trip and trying to get organized to plunge into our second year of home schooling in the next couple weeks. I've missed being online and seeing everyone's creativity, but I've missed making cards even more, so hopefully I can get my act together enough to fit it all in!
Since my time is so limited today, I thought I'd just pop in for a quick hello and acknowledge a couple awards given to me while I was away by three of my sweet blogging friends, Barb, Jeanne, and Stacy (thank you so much, ladies!). All three inspire me and they all do such beautiful work -- please check out their blogs when you have a minute. I'm sure they'd love to have you stop by. ;)
Barb and Jeanne sent me this award:
The rules of this award are slightly different from the usual, as in this one is not so much for creativity and inspiration...it's a blog friend thing. How fun!
1. Only 5 people are to be nominated.
2. 4 out of 5 have to be dedicated followers of your blog.
3. 1 has to be new or recently new to your blog and live in another part of the world.
4. You must link back to whomever gave you the award.
This one is going to be a little bit of a challenge for me since I don't even know if I have four dedicated followers of my blog (especially when you consider that the two ladies who nominated this to me are among those I'd first nominate), but here it goes: I'm going to nominate Patti, Courtney, Stacy, Jeanette, and my twin ;D Mary Ellen who finally joined the blogging world (she lives on the other side of the country, and I think that's as close to another country as I can get with my 'dedicated blog followers' -lol).
And this is the one Stacy sent me:
1. The winner can put the logo on their blog
2. Link the person you received your award from
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs
4. Put links of those blogs on yours
5. Leave a message on the blogs of those you've nominated
I'm going to nominate:
Barb, Jeanne, Yvonne, Susan, Priscilla, Kathy, and Donna
I could go on and on with my nominations, but since it's taking me far too long to just go with the ones I've got listed, I truly hope no one who reads my blog feels slighted. Every one of the ladies I've nominated on both of these awards is an inspiration to me, and I thank each of you for doing what you do and then sharing it with others. ;)
Wow--for not having a card to share, this sure became a long-winded post. I apologize, and if you're still hanging in there with me, thank you. I promise to have a card for you tomorrow. ;D
As always, thanks so much for taking the time to visit my blog, and I hope you'll stop by again soon. Until then, many blessings to you!
