Itty Bitty Hello

It's almost Tuesday already! Yikes -- where does the time go?!? I did get to do a little stamping over the weekend, so I'll try to get those cards posted here in the next couple days. My card share for today, though, is one I made last weekend (but couldn't post it until after it had crossed a couple state lines to get to the hands of its recipient, one of my most favorite people in the whole world, my mama). This is my version of Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #36, only to discover I had inadvertently flipped the sketch over on its side...another one of those 'happy accidents' that seem to frequent my stamping projects. ;)

Knowing my mom's taste in colors, I used some of the Two Scoops DP by BasicGrey, and opted for Heavenly Blue, Indian Corn Blue, and Sweet Leaf to complement the dreamy feel of that DP. I thought the background needed a little oomph, so I used my Pretty Pattern Backgrounder stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms (I *love* that stamp). Lockhart's Itty Bitty Birds seemed like the perfect choice for this card, and the sentiment came from a cute little stamp set I recently picked up at my LSS, See D's Mini Bouquet set. Boy, I guess I was kinda all over the product map with this one, wasn't I?! lol

I also used my Nestabilities rectangle dies, added a little stitching, a few Water Dew Drops, and some ribbon, and called it good. I had a lot of fun making this one, and I hope she liked it. ;)

Thanks so much for the visit, and I hope to see you again soon! Until then, many blessings!
